Linn-Mar Swim Team Volunteer Credit Program
Updated March 7, 2026
- Members of LMST receive a $25 credit when they volunteer to work a session at an LMST Invitational swim meet and at IASI's Regional & Championship meets.
- At the conclusion of each meet, credits will be entered into each member's LMST Team Unify account.
- Session credits are based on individuals volunteering to work a standard meet session.
- > Sessions are typically three to four hours.
- > If a session is extremely short or an individual works only part of a session, half session credits will be issued.
- > If a meet's session goes excessively long, 1.5 times the session credits will be issued.
- Volunteers who must be USA Swimming members receive double the session credits for each session worked.
- LMST Volunteers and Officials do not receive credits when volunteering to work at non-LMST hosted meets except for IASI's Regional & Championship meets.
- Credits have no cash value.
- When individuals leave LMST, refunds will not be issued for credits not used.
- Individuals must register to volunteer using LMST's online signup site.
- The volunteer web-based signup is located on the Linn-Mar Swim Team's website.
- Individuals who either sign up through team website or ask team administration to be signed up for a specific role who do not show up for their assigned position on time will receive the following disciplinary actions (barring any unforeseen circumstances determined by team administration):
- First offense – Family will not be allowed to volunteer during the next LMST home swim meet or IASI Championship meet; Second offense – Family is not allowed to volunteer for the next three (3) LMST home swim meets and/or IASI Championship meets their child participates in; Third offense – Family will no longer be allowed to volunteer at future LMST home swim meets or IASI Championship meets.
- Individuals do not receive credit if they do not sign up to volunteer ahead of time.
- Volunteers who are asked by the meet director the day of the meet to fill in open positions will receive session credits.
