Linn-Mar Swim Team (LMST) is the district youth club swim team and is a part of Linn-Mar's aquatic programming at the Aquatic Center. LMST is a member swim club of USA Swimming. The team practices at the Linn-Mar Aquatic Center and competes in USA Swimming sanctioned swim meets.
LMST's Vision Statement is: Spirit. Opportunity. Future. With a Safe and Supportive Environment.
The goals of the Linn-Mar Swim Team are to:
- Provide opportunities for students to swim while improving their individual skills and personal fitness
- Develop and increase the internal motivation within each participant that extends into the classroom and other areas of life that help members reach their full potential as students and citizens
- Promote learning, safety, and overall well-being of each member through participation in the swim team
- Teach positive values such as physical fitness, positive self-esteem and character development, goal-setting, positive peer influence, team-building, and sportsmanship
- Help children improve their physical, social, emotional and character well being
- Have fun while training, racing and learning at the same time
