Linn-Mar Swim Team

The first day of the Short Course Yards season (Fall/Winter season) is Monday, August 24th! All students participating during the SCY season (new and returning) must register for the team for the 2026-27 academic year. 

2026-27 Team Registration can be found on the bottom front page of the team website in August. LMST will split this year's student registration dates based on the following priority system:

FIRST PRIORITY (MON, AUG 3RD) - Returning Families, or Families who inquired about joining the team before February 1st , 2026.

SECOND PRIORITY (MON, AUG 10TH) - New Families who inquired about joining the team after February 1st , 2026.

Registration for this academic year will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Both in-and out-of-district students are welcome and encouraged to register for the team if they meet the requirements to join a certain group (NEW practice group requirements can be found under the "About LMST" tab, within the "Practice Groups" subtab). New swimmers are asked to be evaluated by swim team staff before registering for a particular practice group. Returning families will be emailed whether their students should register for a different practice group compared to their current placing.

The 2026-27 academic year registration fee will cover the cost of an annual USA Swimming athlete membership, and entry fees for home invitationals for both the SCY (Fall/Winter) and Long Course Meter (Spring/Summer) seasons. Team families will also have monthly practice dues based on the student's practice group, and whether they are an in-district or out-of-district student.
